Why a compression sock brand's most-shown ad, out of 765, doesn't sell a fix for plantar fasciitis. It sells a better first step out of bed. How the foot pain category's winners keep landing on the same moment, how to find your customer's version of it, and a prompt that digs it out of your reviews.
Ask someone with plantar fasciitis what it's like and they won't describe inflamed tissue. They'll describe the first step out of bed in the morning, the one that makes them grab the dresser.
Viasox built its best ad around that one step.
It's a 2 minute 36 second AI cartoon, and it's the most-shown ad Viasox is running right now, out of 765. It's beating the ad Viasox made with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. Since 9 October, the same film has gone live as 10 separate ads across the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia.
Watch it for structure and the first step is everywhere. The film opens on it. The diagnosis is a question about it. The turnaround is a morning when it doesn't hurt. The last line asks if your first step is the worst one. Even the ad text under the video starts there: "The worst part was always those first few steps after getting out of bed."
Here's the part worth stealing. Viasox isn't the only one. Look at the foot pain ads that are winning right now and the same moment keeps coming back. Koprez's most-shown ad, out of 508, promises relief "by tomorrow morning" and has been running since July. One Compress's most-shown ad, out of 512, is called "Wake Up With Less Foot Pain" and has been running for 206 days. Outback Pain Relief opens on "that first step out of bed in the morning."
Different brands, different products, same moment.
A condition is a word from a doctor. A moment is something your customer lives through every day, and it's the thing they actually want gone.
We call it the first step: the specific, daily moment where your customer's problem is at its worst. Find it, build the ad around it, and the targeting, the diagnosis and the payoff come with it.
Every number here comes from Atria's ad library, pulled on 29 October 2026. We watched the Viasox film frame by frame, read its transcript line by line, and pulled the hooks and headlines of the strongest foot pain ads running right now.
This playbook turns it into something you can brief on Monday: the case, why moments beat conditions, how Viasox builds a whole film around one, what the rest of the category is doing, how to find your customer's first step, the rules for writing with it, how to test it, and a prompt that finds it in your reviews.
